Welcome, Ethiopia & Eritrea RPCVs!

Tigray needs your help!

Since our fundraising campaign for Tigray began in April 2021, EERPCVs has been in direct contact with Save the Children, the International Rescue Committee, and Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres. Thanks to your generosity, we have donated $12,000 to these organizations, $4,000 each. We are following events in Tigray closely and intend to make a second round of donations in the near future.

Doctors Without Borders has recently sent us an extensive compilation of their activities in Ethiopia and Sudan regarding their Tigray-related activities. The International Rescue Committee has also sent us an updated report of their work in Tigray. Both NGOs have authorized us to post this material for our membership’s information. You can find their reports in the Articles section on our website.

You all have been wonderfully generous. Unfortunately, the humanitarian suffering is getting worse. More funds are still needed.

What We Do

We, the Ethiopia/Eritrea Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (E/E RPCVs), are a network of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who have served in Ethiopia and Eritrea. We welcome Peace Corps staff, host country nationals, family and friends to join us.

Our mission is to:

  • foster community, understanding, and respect, among our members;
  • promote a better understanding of the Ethiopian and Eritrean people; and
  • support projects in Ethiopia and Eritrea as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

We are an affiliate group of the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) and, like the NPCA, we value lifelong commitment to Peace Corps ideals of better understanding of all peoples.

We offer members a centralized location to register for the NPCA and learn about events in the US, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and around the world.
