FOR THIS PROJECT E&E RPCVs partners with the respected Hesperian Health Guides, publisher of illustrated health guides (including the well-known manual  Where There Is No Doctor), for use by health care workers in remote communities around the world.

 

Your donations to this project will provide funding for Hesperian to ship any of these books to Ethiopia or Eritrea in response to requests that have come to them from Ethiopians or Eritreans in-country at no charge to the recipients.

RPCVs are urged join in our effort to provide the Ethiopian and Eritrean healthcare workers in our communities with the resources they need to identify and treat common health problems, as well as address the root causes of poor health.

Those RPCVs who worked in education programs are especially urged to write to your fellow educators and librarians in-county to inform them that they should request from Hesperian.org any of the above titles as there will be no cost to them.

With a donation of $250.00 you can provide the gift of a “Complete Hesperian Library” to your school. This is comprehensive set includes 15 titles that fall under six major topic areas: General health, disability health, women's health, workers' health, HIV/AIDS, and environmental health. (these are the first 15 titles in the listing above).
